K-141 Kursk was an Oscar-II class nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine of the Russian Navy, lost with all hands when it sank in the Barents Sea on 12 August 2000. It was named after the Russian city Kursk, around which the largest tank battle in military history, the Battle of Kursk, took place in 1943. This model is specifcally meant to be of the Oscar II SSGN submarine Kursk, K141, but I am building it to represnt the Tomsk, K150, which was the last Oscar II boat built and commissioned into the Russian Navy as an SSGN. The hull comes in two pieces, an upper and lower half which dry fit well together. This is only my second sub, plenty if mistakes made here.

Two Oscar II submarines are active with the Northern Fleet and five with the Pacific Fleet.
